I have had silicone implants removed 2 years ago, and I am still in a lot of pain. Before the operation I was very ill and felt I was going to die , so great was the pain and strange feelings in my body, like a solid mass was moving through it. I was constantly at the doctors and of course got no help or explination where I was told it was just my hormones and I was suffering this as I was going through the change. One of my symptoms was a strange smell like burning plastic and the sensation of fumes going up my nose and the doctor told me it was my sinuses. Because of this I had an operation to remove my sense of smell, which has now left me suffering with severe tinitis. I had one of implants replaced after 9 years because of pain, and the second one reptured 8 years later so I had them both removed, in all I had my implants in for 17 years and I now feel it is the biggest mistake I have ever made to have these implants . Please could you e-mail me with any information you have concerning this matter.
Thanks , Jenny.
