Breast Implants - Toxic Chemical

I have been trying since June 1999 to get someone's attention and help for Toxic Chemical that was omitted for the revised Global Settlement. We were all told that there was a lot of research being done on the breast implants. I found out there was nothing on toxic Chemical though, now or future. The only research is cancer and diseases that are in the revised Global Settlement.

I have called doctors, environmental clinics, medical universities, National Institute of Health, CDC in Atlanta, GA., FDA, and Medicare. They all tell me Medicare will not pay for most of the tests that we need as it is called experimental.

I wrote to President Clinton, Vice President Gore, Senators, Representatives, 20/20, 60 Minutes, Dateline, Today, Good Morning America, Ophrah, and AARP.

Most of the women are on total disability and set income. Our only insurance is Medicare (a bad nightmare) and secondary. Most of us can't even find a doctor that knows how to take care of us, because we are allergic to everything they give us. We have nowhere to go for help. Breast implant victims and their children are being denied help with the following:

1. Medical - for explantation, surgeries, infections, doctors, and hospitals.

2. Assistance for nutrition - vitamins, minerals, herbs. This is our only source of medication for some of us.

3.Research & help - for toxic chemical and detoxification.

4.Health & life insurance.

5.Legal & government - needed for over 20 years.

I take vitamins, minerals, herbs, and essential oils from companies that are very well known and supposed to be chemical and pesticide free. I have a reaction to almost all medications, so I don't take any. Our illness is robbing us of normal family life. It has cost some of us the loss of a spouse, children, and other family members as they don't understand our illness and we don't either.

1984 Lived in Indiana. I had the silicone breast implants. The very next day I had a low fever and have had it ever since.

1985 I had a D & C - irregular bleeding. I went into my change at this time. I started putting on weight slowly. I had arthritis and headaches all the time.

1986 Closed capsulotomys. I was having trouble with my memory, smell & taste, hematoma in the right breast.

1987 & 1988 closed capsulotomys. My smell was gone and very little taste. I had to leave paper and pen in every room and vehicle; my memory was very bad.

1993 I didn't know what was wrong with me; pain all over my body from head to toe. The doctors did a lot of tests; right lung aspiration, Videopelviscopy, Epstine Barr Virus, Spastic bowel, and MRI-brain. I also went to the Taste and Smell Clinic in Chicago. The mammogram and ultrasound didn't look right, so I had the silicone taken out and saline put in. The left implant was ruptured. Four months later I had to have open capsulatomy because of pain and swelling. Divorced after 38 years of marriage.

1994 Moved to Florida. Found out about the Global. Took the test for revised Global Settlement; ANA-speckled, Atypical Connective Tissue disease, Organic Brain syndrome with cognitive impairment, Atypical Neurocogic disease, Multiple Sclerosis like syndrome, Epstine Barr Virus-restricted, breast pain (burning & iching). I went back to school, but had a lot of trouble retaining the new information. I didn't have any computer training, sometimes I couldn't get in or out of the computer even though I had the information right in front of me. What I can do now I may not be able to do five minutes from now. This happens with memory, reading, writing, speech, math, and even tying my shoes.

1995 I went back to school again. I had to file for total disability, because of illness; bronchitis, hair loss, dental problems, chronic fatigue syndrome, and silicone antibody toxicity (severe under Social Security act).

1996 Total disability retrograded back to 1993. I was sleeping 18 to 21 hours a day three to five days at a time. I would have these three or four times a month. I didn't know why. I would have a reaction to about everything the doctor would give me; spasms of the esophagus (throat would almost go closed), endoscopy and dilation. This is when I got introduced to massage techniques; whole body reflexology, essentail oils, herbs, vitamins, minerals, learning how to detox the body and help some of the pain. Started taking gamma gobulin, B-12, and B-comlex shots.

1997 Emphysema.

1998 Moved to Nevada. MRI right shoulder-results were tearing of the Supraspinatus tendon. MRI left shoulder-results were fluid in the joint. Allergy tests; I am allergic to about everything. By this time the sleeping spells were rare. I still have them whenever I get around pesticides, also my throat will start to close.

1999 I went to a doctor in California as I was starting to have seizures or attacks quite often. Several tests were done; Spect scan-abnormal, ATOVA test-abnormal, Micro Cog-low average, elevated Thyroid antibodies, Pulmonary Function test-low normal range, abnormal neurological examination, Tyrptase level-below normal, ANA titer-8, chemical sensitivity to small amounts of every day chemicals, toxic encepholopathy, dry eye syndrome-right eye, chronic rhinitis, sinusitis, laryngitis, vestibular disorder-perepheral with verito, immune dystunction and autoimmune disorder, Cholesteral-high, 3mmm punch biopsy-viral exanthem-drug eruption(abnormal T.helper cells-T4, Suppressor cell-T8, B-cell, CD3 &CD26T, IGG Benzene Ring, Lipopolysaccharide, Staphylococcus Aurenus, Apoptosis).

2000 Now I have seizures or attacks everytime I go out in public due to multiple chemical sensitivity. I wear a mask, but I still have them. Differnt chemicals affect me in differnt ways; very bad headaches (some like migraines), hands & feet swell, sleeping spells, lungs won't expand so I can breathe, whole body jumping & jerking, one side of the body will go numb as if having a stroke, real bad vertigo, slurred speech, blurred vision, throat swells almost shut, pulse racing or decreases, short term memory loss, loose muscle control, chest pains (like having a heart attack), making the body immobile, feet flipping out of control. I am in pain 24 hours a day. Some seizures or attacks make it almost unbearable to stand the pain. Since I can't smell it is impossible for me to protect myself. When I have a seizure or attack, I have to ask the people what they have on. I have allergies to dust, mold, cats, grasses, trees, weeds, epidermals, food, and chemicals. I have been keeping a list of things as I come into contact that I'm almost positive affect me; demeral, aspirin, novacain, dental gas, pesticides, corisone, predisone, albuteral, Oil of Olay, Mary kay, Jergens lotions, Shara Michales-Fressia, T Jours Mouri, White Diamonds, Opium, Artistry, Stetson, Old Spice, Mennens, Calalyst, suntan lotions, Clairal Herbal Essence products, body wash, hair spray, deodorant, both soap, 409, Shower Shine, Scrubbing Bubbles, Mulberry tree, Blue Myrtle, Christmas trees after they are cut. Most of the seizures or attacks affect the nervous system while standing or trying to walk. I don't know what products or chemical cause the affect like stroke or heart attack. In fact, I don't know what products cause 99% of the seizures or attacks while in the grocery store, postoffice, etc., because there are to many people around.

Alot of the doctors were very disrespectful to me; saying I have an obsession about going to different doctors and that there is nothing wrong with me, it is all in my head and I need phychiatric help. They have told me there is no such disease as Epstein Barr Virus and there is no test for it. I need to stop taking all vitamins, mineral, and herbs, that they are my problem. It is quackery to take the gamma gobulin, B-12, and B-Complex shots. It is impossible to have low fever this many years and that I can't be allergic to so many things. I will not give you pain pills. They said if something was wrong with my memory I wouldn't know it and that none of these things that are wrong with me have anything to do with the breast implants.

It has been very stressful and costly for copies, telephone calls, medical, medicine, nutrition, research on illnesses, and traveling to different states for doctors appointments. Some doctors want $500 to $2000 just to look at my file and consultation. I need tests for antibiotic, anesthetic, and chemicals before I can have the breast implants taken out. Some doctors won't accept Medicare. Other doctors say Medicare won't pay for the tests, surgery, or complications if there are any. Medicare said they would pay if the doctor puts in the right code. I think this is what you call a no win situation. I could die from the mold, fungus, bacteria, and toxic reaction if the breast implants rupture. My sincere gratitude to everyone that is trying to help us in any way.
