Good morning, I have questioned my sanity more than anyone else has questioned my sanity.
Remember the book (maybe Readers Digest) that used to run a column called. "It Seems To Me"? Now that my menory kicked in, I think that was an article in an airline book on flights that I was on back when.
"Well it seem to me":
If there are many people in the general popualation that have Lupus and more every day, yet no one knows what causes it, the scientist that would call them selves looking at why, what, where and when would be smart enough to look from this direction.
1. Take the general population that lupus is increasing in.
2. Take a few super healthy women that got lupus directly from something in a product called silicone implants.
3. Look at all the ingredients in these implants. There are many.
4. Then look at the lupus group and study their lives to see which of these ingredients they have come in contact with over a period of years.
5. From the implanted women with lupus, they should have a pretty close time line to evaluate how long it takes to get lupus after being in contact with this substance. (Taking into consideration the amount of each substance of course.)
6. It seems to me the scientist that is really interested to find out the truth about the cause of lupus should recogonize that they have a study group of "made to order" people here.
I do not think they will ever take each substance that I have in my body in silicone implants seperately and put in another body then wait for ten years to see which person gets lupus. Do you?
These facts are known.
Not many if any children get Lupus. There fore it takes a few years after exposure to get lupus from what ever causes it.
A few men, but not to many get lupus either, which leads me to believe women come in contact with this substance more often than men. That should allow the substances to be narrowed even more.
Could it be that a simple substance causes lupus and the way to stop this dreaded disease is to simply stop the contact with this substance once they find out what it is?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I guess it will be many years before anyone knows this for these reasons. (If they are ever in the know that is.)
How can you find a cure for anything if the way to stop it is to get rid of the substance. No money in that you know.
There may not be a medication to discover; that will make people not sensitive to this subatance. i.e. I need a vaxcein against Freon Gas? Couldn't be Freon or more men would get lupus. But you know what I mean.
Each scientist has his or her on agenda, and the money is always "given" to them via grants, how many scientist ever earn their pay? . The scientist make more money if they find a product that controls or vacanicats against a disease. Nothing if a substance just needs to be avoided. Unless our government keeps them going to study things like salt?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now I have been accused of being simplistic.
That is simply not true. If you take a complicated problem and aproach it one step at a time people seem to think you are simple. And if I use any common since at all some people just don't get it.
I have been accused of only seeing things in black and white.
That simply is not true. I just deal with colors, tints, hues and I understand grey is made up of black and white. I simple seperate the color to the black and white, examine them seperately, right to the core, Only thing this does is to let me look at the grey more honestly than most people would care for anyone to know about. Then I look at the grey again.
Unless I have not learn my lessons well, scentist that really discover things that have been most useful, have done so accidently. Much like stale moldy bread. The things that seem to be put on the market on purpose today stand a chance of killing more people that they help in many instances. Seems like the scientist are missing something here. Or is it just me?
Has any one explained to the general public that the "morning after birth control pill" isn't needed. Abortions aren't need ever either. All a woman has to do is take several of her regular birth control pills. No one in these united states will explain to women if it takes three or four of her regular birth control pills to keep her from even getting pregnant in the first place.
Does any scientist or doctor explain that a person's diet a few days before their blood test for cholorestrol determines their colosterol level in that particulat test.. And these may not be an acurate reading at all. (Usually isn't?) Your body makes colorestrol and some things in a persons diet can make more or less at times. Very few doctors will ever tell you what to do the week before your test to asure your test is correct. Then they doctor people using incorrect test. Hall of shame for these doctors.
FDA and acceptable losses, approving and keeping a medication they know kills on the market in the united States. One example of one of these drugs, is a pill for diabeties. This medication kills a few people each year, Most people are not looked at close enough to really get a good number as most death certificates have heart failure or stroke on them instead of the actual cause of death. Of course there are 26 known deaths which was enough for England to take this drug off the market in their country.
Our FDA says it helps enough people that the people who die from taking this medication are "acceptable losses." Sounds like a war they are talking about, not medication to help people. If it was your mother or dad that died from this drug, you would think this is an acceptable loss? Our governmental agences see us as stastics only and not as people at all.
Yes, I could go on and on and on and on. Better not today. Thanks for listening,
Ruby
