Double Take = Break

Double Take = Break

This poem submitted by Darleen Aucoin on 10/8/97.

Living with SILICONE everyday,

Is the price WE have to pay.

Rich or Poor,

You wake up unsure.

Yesterday, I did a double take,

Because the SILICONE took a break.

My body rejoiced,

Now I have a choice.

Should I run around,

Enjoying sights and sounds.

Knowing what tomorrow would bring?

YES, I WANT TO SING!!!!!!!

So on I go,

Staying with the flow.

Loving my children,

Hugging my grandchildren.

NO !!!! Not Yet !!!

I’m not ready!!!

Please stay away !!!

I want to enjoy the rest of the day !!!

The SILICONE ,

Refused to stay GONE.

Now, I’m at HOME.

Once more ALONE.

The anger I feel

Festers inside.

But I refuse to hide.

I will stay on the wheel.

Where it will stop,

No one knows.

As the SILICONE BE-BOPS.

And brings its sorrows.

I pray I can take another

DOUBLE TAKE

and

Really have a BREAK...

This is for all of the families that are suffering from the SILICONE DISEASE... Please know that you aren't alone in this. Know that we will stand together and fight this, as the WORLD fights with us. Prayers are what we need to get through this and GOD will always help us as long as we turn to him.
