I was reading at Nicole's PS Marketing site ... there are doctors still doing closed capsulotomies and questions like the one below. Please don't mention my name or use my email if you reply ... but I think these women deserve to know these complications aren't so rare ... thanks, Ilena

After almost 7 years, I experienced a complication to my right implant. I had round textered saline implants over muscle (340cc). I did have them removed.
I had what appeared to be a bruise on my right breast, in the lower inner quadrant. It eventually started oozing. I went to my PS he put me on antibiotics. He was convinced this was a skin condition. It turned out it was not the skin and my implant became exposed.
No one seems to know why this happened. One doctor told me that he had seen this in women who got reconstructive surgery after a masectomy.
Now I am left with a large open wound on my right breast, wondering if I will even be a candidate for augmentatation again. I go for a consult next Mon. Just wanted to tell my story since this seems to be a rare one.
I am also left wondering if I had demanded an ultrasound if I could have avoided this open wound.
