Howtek: Breast Detection System Now Available Outside US 

HUDSON, N.H. -- Howtek Inc. (HOWT) said CADX Medical Systems Inc.'s Second Look computer-aided breast-cancer detection system is now available in Europe, Latin American, Canada and Asia Pacific. 

Howtek's Multirad Digitizer is a component of the system. 

In a press release Wednesday, Howtek said that the system allows radiologists a computerized view for early detection of breast cancer. 

The system will be available in the U.S. pending Food and Drug Administration approval. 

CADx, Montreal, makes computer-aided detection systems for mammography and other health-related applications. 

Howtek designs and makes digital image scanners, film digitizers and related software for applications in the medical imaging, graphic arts and photographic markets.
