I have an old abstract that they did on a "small group" of woman with implants. In every case, abnormalities were found. They compared the women's results to people that abused inhalants.. like "the scotchguard sniffers". This small abstract was published in "Neurology today".
They were interested at that time and felt there was most definitely a link. Rationale: The implants bleed, chemicals released, get into the blood, the blood flows through the brain. No biggy to compute. They were supposed to be working on a larger study for release in late 94? In 1994, I had a severely abnormal "triple head cerebral spec scan". Four major regions affected. This was the reason the PS I went to would not explant me. Abnormal results are common with systemic chemical poisoning. The type of scan that should be used for best results is a "triple head spec scan". It basically has three cameras. Not all hospitals have the more efficient scan. You need to check what they use. You are also injected with a contrast solution mid-way through the test. (contrast chemical approved by the FDA for many years) I have all the specifications & would need to pull my report. Similar to a Cat Scan, but quite different in the final photographic document. The Spec scan indicates regions of the brain that have diminished profusion... which means diminished blood flow. You actually see color variations where the blood does not flow. My neurologist was baffled. The head of the lab thought they made an error on my age indicated on the test form. Said my results were usually found in an people over 80 years old.
But the areas affected, do explain many of my problems. As you know, each region of the brain, controls a specific part of the body. Bingo, there many of my answers were found. Temporal, Frontal, Rear Parietal lobes, it went on. I will discuss this with anyone you connect me with. Maybe, all the woman who had an abnormal spec scan could send their results, Photo's & report to one source. Some Neurologists say get a pet scan. From what I understand, it shows other problems, not the lack of blood flow. I was also told the Pet scan is still fairly new as being acceptable documented proof of anything. I am quite interested in the follow up on this. Very important issue, and I assure you is additional proof to many of our problems. Please connect me to the person below....or keep me posted to any replies.

Dr. Patten at Baylor (no longer there) did spect scans on all his BI women. I have documented abnormal spect scans, pet scans and QEEG was grossly abnormal. Those were done in 1994 prior to my explant. Also, Dr. Daniel Hoffman in Denver was studding our brains ... he spoke at the Cincinnati Conference held by PALS in June 1994. I sent to see him in December 1994 and it was he who told me to immediately have my poly implants removed.

regarding the Spec scans of the brain, my sister flew to Sacramento, CA to see a Dr. Amen who has written numerous books and has done alot of research on the brain through the use of Spec scans. She was very impressed with the professionalism, research and so forth and people from all over the country go there and have been helped greatly. Anything from ADD, OCD, BiPolar, Schizophrenia, addictions and so forth. He has pinpointed the affected areas of the brain and associated them specifically with the disorders. Who knows, he might be interested in researching silicone's effect on the brain. CA is very environmentally concerned too aren't they?
It costs $2,000 for three days of extensive testing. IN my brother-in laws case, he was prescribed Neurotin, already taking ritilan (ADD).
There are about five Drs on staff and she was told that many Psychiatrist covet and desire to work with him and the ground-breaking research.
Just thought I'd mention, wish I could go there.

The MRI I had last week was abnormal. But the same "spots" was there the last time I had an MRI. They all just scatch their heads. No postive test to give reason. I'm getting dizzy from being passed back and forth.
