I've had a lot of people asking for information on where to find a practitioner of NAET. This technique was discovered by Devi Nambudripad, a chiropractor, accupuncturist, registered nurse, and Ph.D. Apparently, she had severe allergies, and during an accute attack, administered accupuncture to herself, fell asleep next to the carrots which had caused the attack, and when she woke up, she was completely relieved of her allergy to carrots. She experimented with her family and friends, and developed the technique. She has written a book, "Say Goodbye to Illness" published by the Delta Publishing Company in Buena Park, CA. The book was published in 1993, which is probably about the same time this technique became public, so you can see that it is relatively new. Devi is the one who does the training and I know she is somewhere in California.
As far as where to find a practitioner in your area, I know that there are Naturopaths and Accupuncturists who are learning this technique. I also know of a few massage therapists who have learned it, but I think that the training is now restricted to people with some kind of doctorate degree. It's probably easier to find practitioners on the west coast since that is where the training is. I would suggest that you call all of the naturopaths, and then accupuncturists listed in your phone book and see if they have had the proper training. I'll talk to my ND next week and see if there is some sort of list of practitioners available. If I find anything, I'll let you know.
Again, I want to CAUTION everybody. DO NOT attempt to be treated for silicone until you have discussed this with your physician. This is a new procedure. If you have not been explanted or have a lot of silicone left in your body, you need to MAKE SURE that your physician is competent enough to determine if it will be safe for you. THE SAME HOLDS TRUE FOR USING HOMEOPATHIC SILICONE. I was told by one practitioner that it could cause serious problems if I used it before I was explanted. BE CAREFUL and make sure you are dealing with someone who is competent and will research this area for you if necessary. Even if you can't be treated for silicone, you can still be treated for the affected organs and food and other chemical allergies. I believe that food and chemical allergies are a problem for us because of what the silicone does to our immune system. I never thought I had allergies, I just thought I felt crummy. Its a combination of a lot of things that are caused by the assault on our systems by the silicone.
