To Whom it May Concern :
I write to provide a letter of reference for the I.A.S. Implant Awareness Society. Deborah Acheson, Q.C. and I have represented women injured by breast implants in litigation since 1992 and have been involved with Adella Matthews and the members of the I.A.S. Implant Awareness Society since its inception.
The I.A.S. Implant Awareness Society has taken the lead in British Columbia in disseminating information about the dangers of breast implants. They have provided support for women with implants through group meetings and by telephone. I know that the leaders of the group have spent countless volunteer hours on the telephone providing emotional and informational support to women in crisis. Many women have told me that the I.A.S. Implant Awareness Society has been their only source of information regarding implants.
The leaders of the I.A.S. Implat Awareness Society have appeared on local and national television, radio and newspapers to provide information about implants. They always provide intelligent and thoughtful comment on the latest medical and legal happenings.
This organization prodives a very useful service to women in Canada. Acheson & Company fully supports their efforts.
Yours truly,
ACHESON & COMPANY
