I hope I can get this message to you so that you will understand. I know so little of computers but Pat would not allow me to leave without coming downstairs and trying to type you a note on her computer to let you know that she is doing wonderful. We all call her our Christmas MIracle and believe me that is what she is. I think you all already know about the Gyn. Specialist canceling her head surgery for Exploratory surgury for avery hard pelvic mass. When she went back next day for sonogram, there was NOTHING there and not even a pain. The Radiologist said you know, I am suppose to talk to the doctor but since this is a long week end I felt you should know that I can't find anything abnormal, no mass of any kind. That's when the miracles began.

She came home yesterday afternoon after changing every order from every doctor that saw her. First thing was when Phychiatrist came to talk to her and see if he might could help her know how to handle her pain and his final notes were "I don't think there is a thing that I can help this lady with, she knows she's going to have pain and she understands it but definitely doesn't want anything that is going to sedate her, she's working every day to get better and still believing that God is going to take care of her. I don't see a thing that we can do for this nice lady but hope for her miracle too.

Second, her neurosurgeon moved her from ICU one day earlier than planned but told her she would have to move from CCStepdown to in-house Rehab.for a few days to learn how to get up and down, walk a straight line and how to use a walker to walk with. Well, that DID NOT go over too well with Ms. Pat. She is so INDEPENDENT. the ONLY one she ever depended on was her Heavenly Father so new prayers had to go up and the next day when the Dr. over Rehab. came in to talk and check her out. He had her to walk and turn, bend up and down and do a little more and then stated "I can tell that you have had a major problem but I believe that you know what it's going to take to correct it but I sure don't think it merits hospital confinement and can be done on an outpt. basis so I'm leaving these findings with your doctor. She wants all of you to know that she thinks that God has just given her a new lease on life and whatever He wants her to do, she is definitely willing.

Now you know she has to find something funny in everything and this time was no different. The week before going into the hospital she went to the dentist to have $140.00 job done to her front tooth, that did not make her happy, neither did she want to laugh the day after surgery when the filling came out. She was just a little upset with that too because now she was not only a bald-headed old woman, she was a snaggle-tooth bald headed ugly old woman that didn't have a closet large enough for her to hide in long enough to grow her some hair back or concentrate on something that might fit in that empty space right in the center of that ?@%*&_!&^)( face, so she just decided that she didn't care and she wasn't even going to wear the beautiful wig her daughter had bought her. She has all of her hair in front, so when she goes out, she's just going to wait until all are seated and then go in and leave first, or go in and just back all the way out.

And she also thinking thinking of letting people use the back of her head to advertise. She found out today that she's going to have to get the tooth capped and she said Dr. Smith might want to run a special ad in color in place of her paying him $1.50 a month and if it goes over well, she's going to let her daughter shave the entire back half so that she might could work for two companies at the same time. She said if any of you knew of anything she could do with an ugly head that has an ugly S scar on it, please let her know as soon as possible. She would really be grateful.

Guess you can tell she is not depressed, went to the dentist with the back of that head shining without even a scarf. She loves you all and gives all of her improvement to the uplifting of your prayers.

Wishes everyone a very Happy Holiday Season.
